She's Almost Perfect - Symbolic Plate

Shoulders: Talonguard Epaulets
Boots: Fen Strider's Footguards (obtained via Horde-only quest)
Two-Hand Sword: Sword of Justice (no enchant in image... Landslide is VERY glowy)

There's a joke here. It's become a joke amongst my husband and me (and many others, I'm sure) that all blood elves are female. So... I gave my blood elf a distinctly feminine name and set out to find a feminine outfit. I was going to do it up pretty skimpy until I found the Symbolic chest on the AH. Had to have it. I figured tight-fitting and an open-back was good enough.

After I found that chest piece on the AH, months later I have yet to see any other piece of Symbolic plate come up. Perhaps it's not high on the priority list of farm items for mog-sellers... or is it not popular? I can't believe that it wouldn't be popular.

If it's not coming up on your AH either and you'd like the set - or some of it - head out to Dire Maul. East entrance. I clear out most of the instance when I feel like doing runs and pick up several greens, herbs, patterns and whatnots. Symbolic plate is a low drop rate... but I'm 4/9. Try your luck if you have some spare time.

My Weekly Mog

I generally change my outfit every week. This week, I wanted something nice to go with my new mount.

Head: Satin Hood (purchased via Quartermaster in Hellfire Peninsula at Honored reputation)
Shoulders: Merciless Gladiator's Mooncloth Mantle (purchased with honor at Area 52)
Chest: Replica Sorcerer's Robes (purchased with tickets at the Darkmoon Faire)
Gloves: Barbaric Cloth Gloves
Belt: Incense Infused Cummerbund (purchased with JP from your city vendor)
Main Hand: Northshire Battlemace
Off Hand: Dragonfire Orb

Acquiring Replica items while the DMF is in town does not need to be a long, painful process. But you will need either a lot of alts or a lot of friends - maybe both, depending on just how much you want. Oh, and some gold. At 85, each toon can get a maximum of 145 tickets per Faire (150 if it's their first time going). Replica pieces can cost either 75 tickets or 55 tickets. This means each toon can snag you 2 pieces (one 75, one 55). 10 toons means 20 pieces. If all of your toons aren't 85... don't worry! As long as they are level 15, you can pick up most of the quest items needed. Simply look for them on the AH under the Quest search tab during the weeks DMF isn't in town - they'll be cheap. Btw, all Replica items are BOE!

The mount to match the outfit!

Trashy to Classy

After silently watching several transmog sites and blogs, I've been interested in starting my own. Even as I begin this, I have another monitor open with a toon sitting at the AH because I struggle to pull myself away.

But here I am.

And here is the cool thing that I want to share with you fellow moggers:

Blue Overalls

That's right. Blue overalls. Go ahead. Check out some of Wowhead's screencaps. Looking pretty meh. So why am I saying they are the so cool? Because, when paired with skirt leggings, you get this:

The overall bottoms turn into a half skirt, leaving half of whatever skirt leggings you are wearing (or have transmogged) to show. If you are just wearing pants (or just have pants transmogged), this effect does not stick. But for skirts, for whatever reason, you get a half and half.

Main Hand: Hand of Righteousness (with Heartsong enchant)
Shoulders: Furred Worgslayer Spaulders (obtained via quest reward in Grizzly Hills)
Legs: Kilt of Deific Torment (obtained via quest reward in Grizzly Hills)

What's working here? I tried to find a skirt with some brown so that the brown line the overalls create wouldn't be so out of place, but the blue of the overalls ended up not matching the other blues. So I found a pair of gloves that matched that blue in an effort to tie it back in. The tabard blue is also too dark, but I'm not a tabard collector at all; it was a desperate attempt to hide the top of the blue overalls. I believe the yellows, golds and browns are actually what is holding this outfit together.

I hope you find many fun new combinations with the blue overalls from this.
